What is the procedure to update the address linked to my NRI account with Firstock?
The address registered with a Non-Resident Indian (NRI) Firstock account can only be changed offline. Unlike resident accounts, where updates can be made online, NRIs must follow an offline process to update their registered address.
Here’s how to change your address:
Ensure Your KYC is Updated:
- Verify that your KYC status is marked as “Non-resident” on the relevant ITD portal with the latest address.
- If your KYC is updated, notarised documents are not required; only self-attested copies of the documents need to be submitted.
- If not updated, the documents must be self-attested and notarised by an authorised official (such as an Indian embassy representative, officials of overseas branches of scheduled commercial banks in India, public notaries, court magistrates, or judges). The attesting authority must include their original “Verified” stamp, name, designation, signature, and date.
Prepare the Required Documents: Complete the necessary forms and gather the following documents:
Submission Process:
- Email Soft Copies: Once you have prepared all the documents, email the soft copies to the designated Firstock email (sales@firstock.in).
- Review & Corrections: The documents will be reviewed by the Firstock team, and any necessary corrections will be communicated.
- Courier Originals: After the review, courier the original documents to the Firstock Customer Support Centre.
